Quickly becoming a community favourite, our annual Christmas Kick Off show at the Yukon Arts Centre is a magical family event. The show features live music, incredible dancing, and wonderful storytelling. Our cast is led by local professional artists, along with talented community members. And we have an in with the big man himself! Santa joins us for pictures and if we’re all on our best behaviour, he might even join us on stage.

Community Opportunities
Our Christmas Kick Off Community Performance Program is an invitational program for recreational or amateur dancers, ages 17 years and up, interested in more focused training and the opportunity to perform with us in our Christmas Kick Off show at the Yukon Arts Centre, November 24 to 28.
As part of this performance program you’ll receive training in tap and precision heels – think Rockettes! There will be an attendance expectation of dancers to make weekly training a priority and production rehearsals mandatory. We are looking for dancers open to continued improvement and coachability.
Christmas Kick Off Community Performance Program
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 15th to November 19th
- 6:30 to 7:30
- $500.00
Fees include costuming. Tights and shoes are dancer responsibility

Youth Opportunities
This year, Velvet Antler Productions is holding auditions for youth ages 9 to 14 years with ballet and jazz experience. This performance training program will build strong showmanship, team dynamics, and precision in choreography. Auditions will be held Monday June 8th 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Velvet Antler.
If selected for our Kick Off Kids, Youth Performance Training Program, weekly class will be held Sundays 10:30-11:45am, September through November, with an additional invitational opportunity on Tuesdays 5:00-6:15pm. For more information on schedule and fees please check out our Auditions page.
