Student Showcase Performances
Each season we have two opportunities for our students to perform. In December we have our Naughty Nutcracker Cabaret and then typically in May we have our Spring Student Showcase. Students must be registered in one of the following programs to participate; Bootcamps, Act Development, or Production Development.
Naughty Nutcracker
Imagined for the first time in 2019, this VA holiday spectacular has become an annual tradition our community can't get enough of. Sold out every year, this one is HOT. The Naughty Nutcracker is inspired by the original music and story of the classical ballet, but far from traditional, dancers learn choreography to exclusive tracks created for VA by Local Boy. This show is extra sexy, with confident performers showing a lot of skin.
Spring Student Showcase
More of a variety show, each spring we have a new theme to bring to the stage. Expect a wider range of styles and class levels, this show might feel more accessible to brand new performers. Bootcamp choices are decided by instructor inspiration and student feedback, with choreography set to more popular music.
